“This was my first tour of Normandy. After comparing with what I saw of the other tour groups in the area, I am so glad I chose War Excursions. The French citizens and memorial organizations that descend on Normandy each summer put on a remarkable display of respect and remembrance. You will see hundreds of vintage vehicles and thousands of people dressed in the uniforms of the period. War Excursions was the perfect complement to this, bringing a degree of living military experience to the history perfectly preserved all around me in Normandy. Our small group size offered plenty of time to explore each site, ask questions, and to experience much more of the region, and in greater detail than larger tours could allow.
